Generation Edinburgh, are proud to have supplied a range of scaffolding products for the construction of the Queensferry crossing bridge over the Firth of Forth river in Scotland. The bridge opened its doors to motorist yesterday (30/08/17).
The Queensferry Crossing is Britain’s newest road bridge; suspended by 23,000 miles of cables; enough to go around the world almost 3 times! It is the tallest bridge in the UK with towers over 200 meters high.
The Queensferry crossing project started back in 2011, with Generation Hire & Sale supplying 1000 sets of round top temporary fence panels. Since then, Generation has supplied a full array of products to the site, mounting up to over £1milllion.
The project size and complexity made Generation the perfect scaffolding supplier; the collection of stock included the Generation Genlok System Scaffold, which allowed a fast and efficient structure to be created, Genstair Staircases, which provided safe access to the working structures.
Generation Hire & Sale are honored to have being part of creating the longest freestanding balanced cantilever in the world and congratulate all the workers on their hard work and efforts in creating a magnificent structure.
