Generation Hire & Sale welcomes the 16,000 strong Cape plc team to the Altrad Group of companies. By the 8th September 2017, 77.8% of shareholders recognised the deal’s value and voted to accept it.
The Altrad Group now comprises 131 trading companies across the globe. In 2017 it generated c.€3,2bn with an EBITDA of around €400m. Cape will continue to act independently and retain its autonomy to focus on what is best for its customers in accordance with the Altrad Charter.
Through its 30 year history, the Altrad Group has been built on entrepreneurialism and the pursuit of excellence. Its mission is to work with customers to extend the life cycle of their construction and industrial assets in a safe and reliable manner.
The vision is that every one of the 131 companies becomes a worldwide leader in the field it operates in through a pursuit of excellence and delivering customer value.
We are sure that Cape will experience a similar journey to that enjoyed by Generation and other companies within the group. We have specified and developed new and innovative scaffolding products and created a global supply chain that provides quality and very competitive prices. The strength of this offering means we supply 70% of the top 10 UK Construction companies. Prior to the acquisition by Altrad, Cape was a Generation customer for both scaffolding and training services. The inclusion within the group means we can continue to build on that relationship to better serve the oil, gas and energy industries.
